NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — Yale police are investigating an after youth allegedly went on a crime spree over the weekend, damaging vehicles, including security vehicles, stealing cars and breaking into them.
Police said a gray sedan rammed a security vehicle. In another instance, a passenger in a gray sedan used a screwdriver to damage another occupied security vehicle.
The crimes took place throughout the day across campus, specifically on York Street near the Medical School and along Winchester Avenue, Howe Street, Canal Street, Prospect Street, Highland Street and Munson Street.
Yale police urge everyone to lock their vehicles, roll up their windows and avoid leaving valuables in plain sight.
Authorities ask anyone who sees suspicious activity to call Yale Police at 203-432-4400 or submit anonymous tips through the LiveSafe app.
