Georgia Bulldogs wide receiver Rodarius “Rara” Thomas has found himself in hot water once again after his arrest in Athens, Ga. on Friday. He’s facing some serious charges, including three counts of family violence battery and three counts of second-degree cruelty to children, as reported by Fox 5 in Atlanta. As of now, officials haven’t provided details on what led to his arrest.
In light of these charges, Thomas has been suspended indefinitely from the Georgia football team. The athletic department commented, “This is a pending legal matter. We will have no further comment at this point,” according to the Associated Press.
This isn’t Thomas’s first brush with the law. Last year, he was arrested on a felony charge of false imprisonment along with a misdemeanor count of family violence battery. Those charges were eventually dropped after he went through a pretrial diversion program.
