Uniqlo Japan Launches One Piece Anime 25th Anniversary UT Shirts

Uniqlo Japan’s new One Piece UT shirts, which celebrate the anime’s 25th Anniversary, recently went on sale on July 22 JST. The collection has the theme of “Monkey D. Luffy Bouken no Kiseki” (Monkey D. Luffy Trail of Adventure) and was announced in June.

There are eight mens’ shirts (1,500 yen/~US$9.70 each) and five kids’ shirts (990 yen/~US$6.40 each). One of the mens’ designs features Luffy in his Gear 2 pose, while one of the kids’ designs has Uta with the words “I’m now going to make my dreams come true” and “New Genesis.”

There have been various other One Piece 25th anniversary initiatives and plans, including a Boston Red Sox collaboration  a worldwide 25th anniversary concert tour that kicked off on June 1, and a June 10-16 activation in Las Vegas’ Exosphere that featured a 90-second anime and a June 11 four-hour “takeover.”

Separately, ONE PIECE DAY ‘24 is set to take place from August 10 to 11 at Chiba’s Makuhari Messe.
