The 2024 U.S. News and World Report rankings of the best hospitals in Texas found two of the top three are in North Texas.
DALLAS — Five of the top 15 hospitals in the state are in North Texas, according to new U.S. News and World Report rankings.
Two of the top three hospitals are in Dallas, with UT Southwestern Medical Center ranked second in the state (after Houston Methodist Hospital) and the best in DFW, followed by Baylor University Medical Center, which was ranked third in the state.
Baylor Scott and White All Saints Medical Center Fort Worth was ranked 11th in the state and Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas was ranked 13.

- UT Southwestern Medical Center (Dallas)
- Baylor University Medical Center (Dallas)
- Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center (Houston)
- Memorial Hermann Hospital (Houston)
- Memorial Hermann Greater Heights Hospital (Houston)
- Baylor Scott and White Medical Center-Temple (Temple)
- Houston Methodist The Woodlands Hospital (The Woodlands)
- Houston Methodist Sugar Land Hospital (Sugar Land)
- St. David’s Medical Center (Austin)
U.S. News and World Report for more than 30 years has compared more than 4,300 hospitals around the country in a range of specialties, including cancer care, cardiology, and more. The publication ranks hospitals by state, and region, and publishes an honor roll of the top 20 hospitals in the country. Houston Methodist Hospital was the only Texas hospital to make the national honor roll.
Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston remains the top hospital in the national honor roll, followed by Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.
