They Freaking Work Their Butts Off

Joey Bosa is coming to the defense of the Los Angeles Chargers food staff.

The Chargers received an F in the food and cafeteria category in the 2024 NFLPA Team Report Cards, but Bosa pushed back on that and praised the cafeteria staff for their hard work.

“I’ll eat here sometimes,” Bosa said, per Sarah Barshop of ESPN. “It may not be the best setup, but they’ll prepare you food that’s plenty good. … They work harder than literally anybody in the entire facility. So they may not have the best means back there, but they freaking work their butts off, and that survey is not cool, man.”

Food and cafeteria was not the only category in which the Chargers received an F. They also received the grade for treatment of families and locker room while receiving D-range grades in training room, weight room and team travel.

This led to the 30th-overall ranking in the NFL, which painted a concerning picture for the state of the franchise. However, Bosa has been one of its brightest stars during his career.

He is a five-time Pro Bowler and has recorded 321 tackles, 143 quarterback hits and 67 sacks in his eight-year career. He opinion surely carries some weight around the locker room, so his endorsement of the cafeteria staff should help with their reputation around the league.
