STEM Lab Open House set for July 27
SciTech in Batavia recently announced the appointment of Mary Johnston as the new director of programs and education. She brings with her two decades of experience in special education, a Master’s degree in Education, and an unwavering passion for STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics).
Her extensive background and dedication to inclusive education will be invaluable as she leads our program initiatives and educational efforts.
Johnston’s vision aligns perfectly with SciTech’s mission to provide innovative and inclusive STEM education to all students. Her commitment to fostering a love for STEM among diverse learners will undoubtedly enhance our educational outreach and programming.
To celebrate her arrival and showcase the new facilities, SciTech invites the community to the STEM Lab Open House on Saturday, July 27, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 336 McKee St. in Batavia. This is an opportunity for families, educators, and STEM enthusiasts to:
• Explore the newly upgraded STEM Lab Space;
• Participate in hands-on STEM activities designed for all ages;
• Meet the staff and learn about the programs.
