RAPID CITY, S.D. – A famous line by Shakespeare says that all the world’s a stage and all the men and women merely players. Flutter Productions in Rapid City is emphasizing the word “all” in their latest production of Rumpelstiltskin.
Flutter Productions Founder and Artistic Director Heather Pickering explains, “Flutter Productions is producing an all ability, multi-generational production that features acting, contemporary dance, and American Sign Language.”
The script was written by Pickering and Sara Olivier, who also choreographed the show. The pair also worked with a composer who wrote an original score as well.
Tyler Brink, who plays the lead role, shared his enthusiasm for the props, saying, “I am excited that I get to use the spinning wheel.”
Heather Pickering adds that attendees can expect a memorable experience. “A great, family-friendly evening featuring a cast of 43 incredible individuals,” she said. The production includes a diverse group of performers with various abilities, reflecting everyday life.
Pickering advises potential attendees to act quickly. “Ticket sales are going really well. I know at least three of the five performances are really close to being completely sold out. So people do want to get their tickets now while they can.”
