Primark expands US presence with new stores in Orlando and Auburn Hills

Value fashion retail giant Primark announced on Monday the opening of two new stores at The Florida Mall in Orlando, Florida, and at Great Lakes Crossing Outlets in Auburn Hills, Michigan. 

The Orlando store opening is set for Thursday, August 29 and will welcome shoppers to over 36,200 square feet of retail space. 

The Orlando store, the first two-story location for Primark, will feature an entire floor dedicated to Disney fans. The Disney product ranges include collections celebrating the 30th anniversary of Walt Disney Animation Studios’ ‘The Lion King’, as well as items featuring Disney’s Lilo & Stitch, Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, and more. 

This new store in Orlando is part of Primark’s continued expansion in the Southern United States. Currently, Primark has a store at Sawgrass Mills in Sunrise, Florida, a distribution center in Jacksonville, and plans to open three stores in Texas.

Following closely on the heels of the Orlando opening, Primark will also open a new store at Great Lakes Crossing Outlets in Auburn Hills, Michigan, on Thursday, September 12. This will be Primark’s first store in Michigan, offering Detroit-area shoppers over 36,600 square feet of retail space.

“Entering the state of Michigan is an exciting step for us at Primark and we’re already feeling the love – or Primania – from the community as we build our store team and educate those new to the brand on all we offer,” added Tulip. “The folks in and around The Motor City have welcomed us with open arms and we can’t wait to return the favor as we gear up for opening day!” 

The new openings will bring Primark to 27 U.S. stores, across 11 states, and more than 450 stores globally.
