Newton Public Schools’ summer food service program starts Monday

NEWTON, Kan. (KSNW) — Newton Public Schools’ summer food service program starts Monday, June 10.

Free summer meals will be served to anyone 18 and younger, Mondays through Fridays, from now until July 26. Meals will not be served on July 4.


The time meals will be served depends on the location.

Locations:

Sunset Elementary, located at 619 Boyd Ave, will be serving breakfast from 8:15 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. and lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Newton High School, located at 900 W. 12th St., will be serving breakfast from 8 to 8:30 am. and lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Enter through the main front doors.

Mobile locations:

Food will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the shelter area at Athletic Park, 5th and Park Place.

Food will be served from 12:20 to 12:50 p.m. at Roosevelt Park, 701 E. Broadway St.

Food will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Spring Lake Splash Park, 110 Springlake Dr.

Food will be served from 12:20 to 12:50 p.m. at Quail Creek Park, 500 S. Quail Ct.
