Japanese brand Momotaro Jeans is introducing a fresh approach to its retail and design to showcase Japanese denim both at home and abroad.

The brand has opened a new store in Kyoto and launched a new website. The Kyoto store, designed by well-known architects Jun Aoki and Masatoshi Shinagawa, blends traditional and modern elements. The new website makes it easier for customers to shop online and learn about denim care.

Momotaro Jeans is also updating its fabric. Known for their deep indigo jeans, they are now using finer threads to enhance the colour and reduce shrinkage after washing. They are offering jeans dyed with natural Japanese indigo, showing off their traditional craftsmanship.

The brand is experimenting with new denim blends, including silk for a smooth texture and cashmere for softness and lightness. The jeans will feature a new logo that combines traditional Japanese emblems with a modern twist.
