Locals react to planned movie theater at Breckenridge Village in Little Rock | KLRT
LITTLE ROCK, Ark – A planned movie theater and entertainment venue at Little Rock’s Breckenridge Village has many locals and nearby businesses excited for what’s to come.
Breckenridge Village was one of many areas to be hit the worst during the Mar. 31, 2023, tornado outbreak, but Neverwhere Coffee owner Micah Boswell said things are now looking up.
“It was kind of a gut punch but we’re coming back hard,” Boswell said.
Four businesses are now open and three are pending, but there’s an attraction coming that’s certain bring an economic boost to the area.
What was once known as the Regal UA Breckenridge Theater will soon be Film Alley, a 12-screen theater that’ll benefit all in Brackenridge Village.
Eat My Catfish manager Jalisia Randle said it’ll bring a buzz needed in the area.
“You can grab your catfish, grab a drink from Waldo’s, go to the movies in between,” Randle said. “It’s going to be a big impact for sure.”
Film Alley will have an arcade, bowling and a dine-in bar, and those who choose to watch a movie will get to experience heated recliner seating.
“Of course, a movie theater, it’s going to be great,” Boswell said. “We’ve got a lot really cool stuff going on here that everyone should come visit and support.”
People say it’ll be a one-stop entertainment shop for all and Randle said it’s enough for everyone to enjoy.
“Bring the whole family, the kids your grandparents,” Randle said. “Eat My Catfish, Waldo’s, the movie theater, we’re here to make a big change.”
