King Charles and Princess Charlotte appear to have shared a love of pop-sensation Taylor Swift, after the two were both seen wearing a very similar accessory associated with the singer
When it comes to royal fashion, it’s safe to say that there are several key style icons among the family, with both Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle leading the charge as the royal trendsetters. Yet one new addition to the ranks that could soon be stealing their thunder is Princess Charlotte, particularly as it seems she’s already taken to style twinning with her grandfather King Charles – with one very adorable accessory.
The covetable item in question is a friendship bracelet, which has been spotted on the wrists of both members of the royal family and seemed to have begun to be worn shortly after Charlotte attended Taylor Swift’s sell-out concert at Wembley.
The King, 75, was first spotted wearing a string bracelet on his right wrist earlier this month, with a delicate red and yellow design clearly visible on his wrist during multiple engagements including at the state opening of parliament. Meanwhile Princess Charlotte, 9, was spotted wearing her own version of the bracelet at Wimbledon last weekend, albeit in shades of pale pink and blue – leading many royal fans to wonder if Charles’ bracelet was actually a gift from his fashionable granddaughter.

Although the bracelets are not an identical match for each other, it is notable that both royals began wearing them around the same time, reports PEOPLE, and that they first began wearing them following the Taylor Swift concert – where bracelets have played a key role.
The must-have accessory became the staple souvenir of many of the singer’s concerts around the world as she embarked on her epic Eras tour around the world. The trend first began after a throwaway line in a song on her 2022 album Midnights sparked a worldwide frenzy, with the affordable accessory being exchanged at many of her concerts ever since.
Bonafide Swiftie, Princess Charlotte even had the opportunity to meet the singer last month alongside her brother Prince George and father Prince William, as they posed for a sweet selfie behind the scenes of the London leg of her tour. The rare selfie showed all three royals grinning as they posed for the photo, and it could hint that the Princess’ enthusiasm has also extended to bringing her grandfather into the fold.
If the thoughtful gift did come from Princess Charlotte, it wouldn’t be the first time her doting grandpa had worn a gift from the youngster, after it was previously revealed that the pink and blue dinosaur tie he has frequently worn, was actually a heartfelt gift from his grandchildren.
The iconic tie was first worn to a church service back in January 2023, but later made another appearance earlier this year when Charles returned to public engagements following the news of his cancer diagnosis.
