REPORTS
ROBBERY, 2024-07200247, 4600 block of Washington Boulevard. At approximately 11:08 p.m. on July 20, police were dispatched to the report of a robbery by force. Upon arrival, it was determined the male suspect entered the store and allegedly collected merchandise and exited without payment. An employee then confronted the suspect outside the business during which the suspect struck the employee before fleeing the scene on foot. The employee sustained minor injuries and was treated by medics on scene. A lookout for the suspect was broadcast and responding officers observed an individual matching the description of the suspect in the area of N. Glebe Road and 14th Street N. Officers issued commands to the individual, who was non-compliant and with the assistance of additional responding officers, he was taken into custody. The suspect was transported to an area hospital for medical evaluation. Kevin Singleton, 40, of No Fixed Address was arrested and charged with Robbery and Obstruction of Justice. He was held without bond.
INDECENT EXPOSURE, 2024-07210143, 2700 block of S. Arlington Mill Drive. At approximately 5:30 p.m. on July 21, police were dispatched to the 2700 block of S. Arlington Mill Drive to the report of an exposure. Upon arrival, it was determined the female victim observed the suspect outside a business exposing himself. A responding officer located the suspect on scene and made contact with him, during which the suspect became non-compliant with the officer’s commands and fled the scene on foot. The officer located the suspect again in the 2800 block of S. Quincy Street and issued additional commands. The suspect remained non-compliant and the officer deployed their Taser. The suspect was then taken into custody. Dejuan Douglas, 43, of Alexandria, VA was arrested and charged with Public Masturbation and Obstruction of Justice. He was held without bond.
INDECENT EXPOSURE, 2024-07200050, 1400 block of Wilson Boulevard. At approximately 4:29 a.m. on July 20, police were dispatched to the report of an exposure. Upon arrival, an officer observed the male suspect in the area exposing himself and took him into custody. Kenyar Sheppard, 29, of No Fixed Address was arrested and charged with Indecent Exposure and Public Intoxication. He was held without bond.
ROBBERY, 2024-07200217, 3600 block of Columbia Pike. At approximately 8:36 p.m. on July 20, police were dispatched to the report of an alarm. Upon arrival, it was determined the male suspect entered the business and attempted to pay for cigarettes during which the transaction was unsuccessful. The suspect then made threatening statements towards an employee, implied a weapon, stole the cigarettes and exited the store without payment. No injuries were reported. Responding officers canvassed the area for the suspect yielding negative results. The suspect is described as a Black male, approximately 40 years old wearing a red t-shirt, black pants, white shoes and a tan backpack. The investigation is ongoing.
INDECENT EXPOSURE, 2024-07190170, 4000 block of Campbell Avenue. At approximately 5:07 p.m. on July 19, police were dispatched to the report of an exposure. Upon arrival, it was determined the female victims were at a business when they observed the male suspect allegedly exposing himself outside. The suspect subsequently left the scene and responding officers canvassed the area for the suspect yielding negative results. The suspect is described as a Black male in his mid-30’s, approximately 5’8” – 5’9” tall and wearing all black clothing. The investigation is ongoing.
