Jennifer Aniston’s IVF comment branded ‘disgusting’ by JD Vance after ‘childless cat lady’ remark
JD Vance hit out at Jennifer Aniston after she called him out for his “childless, cat lady” comment, which prompted a huge backlash
Senator JD Vance went on national TV to call Jennifer Aniston‘s latest comments “disgusting” as the celeb fought back against the Republican Vice President pick’s “cat lady” commentary by invoking his daughter’s potential for fertility issues.
After videos surfaced of Vance saying the country was “run by a bunch of childless cat ladies,” a number of celebrities have hit back, including Jennifer Aniston, who brought her fertility issues to the table, making a comment that she hopes his family never has to experience childlessness in the form of fertility issues.
Aniston, 55, retorted: “Mr. Vance, I pray that your daughter is fortunate enough to bear children of her own one day. I hope she will not need to turn to IVF as a second option. Because you are trying to take that away from her, too.”

Vance made an appearance on The Megyn Kelly Show last Friday to defend his controversial anti-cat statement from 2021, which has sparked a huge backlash from women worldwide.
In retaliation, Vance stated: “That’s disgusting because my daughter is two years old.
“And second of all, if she had fertility problems, as I said in that speech, I would try everything I could to try to help her because I believe families and babies are a good thing,” he added.

The resurfaced footage showed Vance criticizing childless women like Kamala Harris on Fox’s Tucker Carlson Tonight Show in July 29, 2021. In the clip, he told Tucker that the country was ran by “a bunch of childless cat ladies who are miserable at their own lives and the choices that they’ve made and so they want to make the rest of the country miserable too.”
In the video, Vance lambasted the idea of handing the country over to childless women: “I’m saying that we are effectively run in this country via the Democrats by a bunch of childless cat ladies who are miserable at their own lives and they choices they made so they want to make the rest of the country miserable too.”
“It’s just a basic fact. You look at Kamala Harris, Pete Buttigieg, AOC, the entire future of the Democrats is controlled by people without children. How does it make any sense that we have turned our country over to people that don’t have any stake in it?”

On The Megyn Kelly Show, JD Vance addressed his 2021 comments for the first time since they resurfaced online. “I understand the media wants to challenge me and push me to retract my statements, Megyn, but the core point I was making is that becoming a parent—whether as a father or a mother—can profoundly shift your perspective,” Vance explained.
He emphasized that his remarks were not meant to criticize those without children. “Despite media misrepresentations, I was clear that my comments weren’t about criticizing those who haven’t had kids for various reasons,” Vance said. “My criticism is directed at the Democratic Party for its stance against family and children.”
Vance highlighted his concerns about some liberal stances, such as support for continued mask-wearing for young children post-pandemic, and claimed that the Harris campaign opposed the child tax credit, though Harris herself has supported its expansion.
