Impossibly good TV bundle gets you Disney+, Hulu and HBO Max for $16.99 – but there are three downsides to beware
DISNEY is bundling its streaming service with Hulu and HBO Max with a massive $9-per-month discount.
You’ll be able to snap up all three services for just $16.99
If you were buying the services separately, you’d be paying at least $25.97.
Normally Disney+ Basic would cost $7.99, plus Hulu with ads for $7.99, and HBO‘s Max with Ads for $9.99.
That’s just shy of $26, so you’re saving around $9 every month with the bundle.

There are some catches, however – with three in particular to note.
For a start, you’ll be getting the cheapest subscription options, so you’ll have to sit through ads.
Secondly, the HBO Max plan doesn’t get you 4K streaming and will instead cap out at HD quality.
And thirdly, this bundle is a US-only deal – so international TV fans won’t be able to benefit from the lower pricing.
The good news is that the offer is available right now.
And you can buy it from Disney+, Hulu, or HBO’s Max websites.
If you’re not tempted by this deal, there’s also another option.
You can still make a saving if you opt for the no-ads bundle.
This gets you all three streaming services without any ads for $29.99 per month.
That’s in comparison to the individual monthly fees of Disney+ at $13.99, Hulu at $17.99, and Max at $16.99 without ads.
That totals $48.97 so you’ll be saving $18.98 with the more premium bundle.
But you’ll be paying $13 more per month versus the ad-supported option.
So you’ll need to weigh up whether you’re happy to sit through commercials or not.
Talking up the bundled library of content, Hulu said: “This new partnership puts subscribers first, giving them access to the incredible breadth and depth of three complementary libraries including some of the great franchises.”
Hulu specifically names the following franchises as being included on the paltforms:
- Family Guy
- Bob’s Burgers
- Disney’s Frozen
- The Avengers
- Star Wars
- Toy Story
- Warner Bros. Discovery’s Batman
- Game of Thrones
- Lord of the Rings
- Harry Potter
It’s worth noting that downloads are restricted unless you have the more expensive bundle.

Stream swapping – the easy way to cut your bills?
Here’s what Sean Keach, The Sun’s Head of Technology and Science, thinks…
It’s no secret that TV streaming apps are costing more and more.
Not only are prices shooting up, but we find ourselves asked to pay for an increasing number of apps and services.
And when you combine those TV bills with your music streaming, mobile and internet fees, and every other drain on your bank account, it all starts to get a bit much.
One of the best ways to cut your TV bills is to simply cancel all of your streaming subscriptions and only sign up to one per month.
Pick an app like Netflix, Disney+, or Apple TV+ and smash through all of the content you want to watch on that app.
Then the next month, swap to something else.
And once you’ve done them all, you can cycle back to the start again.
It’s an easy way to avoid forking out for a rolling library of streaming apps with more content than you could possibly watch.
Also don’t forget that paid-for streaming isn’t the only game in town.
There are loads of apps that don’t cost a penny to enjoy, and downloading a few will unlock thousands of live TV channels plus tens of thousands of movies and shows.
Try apps like Tubi, Amazon Freevee, The Roku Channel, Plex, and Pluto TV to get some ad-supported television without having to pay any monthly fees.
All prices in this article were correct at the time of writing, but may have since changed.
