Hudson County Announces Grant Winners for the County

Hudson County Executive Craig Guy and Hudson County Director of Cultural & Heritage Affairs, Tourism Development Gina Hulings announced grant winners for the 2024-2025 Arts in Education program. The program provides funds to non-profit arts organizations that will give art instruction to students in participating schools throughout the county. Programs are accessible to all students with varying degrees of learning abilities and all programs present barrier free opportunities. In total, $225,000 will be granted to 19 non-profit organizations, as well as 36 schools located in 8 municipalities across Hudson County. This project is supported in part by the National Endowment for the Arts.

“The arts improve the quality of life for all Hudson County residents,” said County Executive Guy. “This program allows arts educators from local organizations to partner with county schools to teach children who would otherwise not be receiving innovative arts education. I’m immensely proud of our Cultural & Heritage Affairs, Tourism Development department for their work in developing this grant program and working with our community to make sure these funds get to these non-profit organizations, our schools, and their students.”

“This program will allow students to have access to a variety of artistic disciplines during the school day, in a classroom setting,” said Director Hulings. “The program will also build a bridge between local non-profit arts organizations and schools in Hudson County to increase students’ access to quality arts education programs that may not be offered in their schools.”
