According to the famous astrologer Dr Basant Soni, married women worship Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati to achieve a happy life and good health for their husbands. As per the gold medalist astrologer, women should wear green clothes for this fast. They should also offer green-coloured items to Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati, such as bhaang, dhatura, etc.

As per Hindu religious beliefs, Goddess Parvati got Lord Shiva as her husband after her 108th birth. She did rigorous penance to get Lord Shiva.
