Great Valley Band Jam rocking into town Friday and Saturday | Entertainment

GREAT VALLEY — Ten bands will be rocking out Friday and Saturday in the inaugural Great Valley Band Jam.

Hosted by the Great Valley Volunteer Fire Company, the event will take place at the Fireman’s Clubhouse on Depot Street. The family-friendly music event will have activities for kids of all ages, food vendors, two camping areas and more.

Friday’s music lineup features Chillbillys at 6 p.m. followed by Interstate Daydream at 8 o’clock and Spoiled Leftovers finishing the evening at 10. Gates will open at 5 p.m.

On Saturday, hear live music from Squish Kitty at 1 p.m., Hiccups at 3, Fox Creek at 4, Jon & Sandy at 6, West and 7, Roger Keifer at 9 and Mo Porter at 10 p.m. Gates will open at 10 a.m.

Tickets are available at the gate or in advance online at greatvalleyfireco.com. Friday is $5 and Saturday is $10 for attendees 13 or older. Kids 12 and younger are free.

Premium camping spots are available at the event area for $50 per site, or free at a nearby overflow area. Reserve a campsite online.

Activities are free with every admission include the Mega Truck Bounce House, GellyBall games by Hotshotz N’ Heroes and an inflatable axe throwing game. Fantasia Fantasy Faces will offer face painting and temporary tattoos at an additional cost not included with event entry.

A car cruise will be held Saturday only from 1-4 p.m.

Food trucks are open to the public — no ticket required. Trucks planned to be on site include KB Foods, Hoptoads Real BBQ, Big Tasty’s BBQ, Wanderer Hut, Sweet Ride Donut Truck and possibly more.
