Florida gas stations, fast-food restaurants and airlines affected by global cyber issue
TREAT THAT AS A FOUR WAY STOP. ALL RIGHT. THANK YOU. YASMINE CONTINUE OUR COVERAGE OF THIS GLOBAL CYBER ISSUE. LET’S BRING OUR CALEB CALIFANO. BECAUSE IF YOU’RE HEADED OUT TO A GAS STATION OR GETTING YOUR FAVORITE COFFEE, CALEB, SOME PEOPLE MIGHT HAVE SOME ISSUES. THAT’S RIGHT. WE’RE GETTING TO THAT POINT IN THE MORNING WHERE PEOPLE ARE STARTING TO GET TO WORK AND I’VE CALLED A NUMBER OF GAS STATIONS AS WELL AS SOME FAST FOODPRESTAU GO TO GAS STATIONS, THEY’RE ALL DIFFERENT. SOME OF THEM, LIKE RACETRAC AND SHELL WE’VE TALKED TO, HAD ISSUES WITH THEIR CARD READERS EARLIER THIS MORNING. THAT’S SINCE BEEN FIXED. SOME, LIKE THE WAWA ON 45TH STREET IN WEST PALM BEACH, A VERY BUSY GAS STATION. THAT’S A BUSY ONE. THEY NEVER HAD PROBLEMS IN THE FIRST PLACE. SO. OR AT LEAST THEY DON’T KNOW. THERE’S A LOT OF CONFUSION HERE. WHEN YOU CALL A GAS STATION, SOME PEOPLE HAD NO IDEA THIS WAS HAPPENING IN THE FIRST PLACE. SO HIT OR MISS WITH GAS STATIONS, IT SEEMS LIKE THE ONES THAT WE CALL ARE OPERATING, BUT WE HAVE CALLED A NUMBER OF STARBUCKS. OBVIOUSLY A LOT OF PEOPLE GO THERE BEFORE THEY GO TO WORK. THEIR ONLINE SYSTEM COMPANYWIDE IS DOWN RIGHT NOW. SO IF YOU’RE TRYING TO MAKE A MOBILE ORDER, WHICH WE ALL DO FROM TIME TO TIME, THAT IS DONE. YOU THAT IS DOWN. YOU CAN’T DO THAT. YOU HAVE TO GO INTO THE STORE. HOWEVER, WE DID CALL THE STARBUCKS ON NORTH MILITARY TRAIL IN WEST PALM BEACH AND THEY TOLD US THEIR CASH REGISTERS AREN’T EVEN WORKING. SO THAT STORE IS DOWN. BUT OTHER STORES WE TALKED TO LIKE THE ONE ON A1A HERE IN PALM BEACH GARDENS. THAT STORE IS FINE. YOU CAN GO INSIDE AND MAKE PURCHASES AS WELL AS THE ONE ON PALM BEACH LAKES BOULEVARD IN WEST PALM BEACH. SO VERY COMPLICATED ISSUE HERE, ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU’RE GOING TO WORK THIS MORNING. ALL RIGHT. THANK THANK YOU I KNOW YOU’RE GOING TO CONTINUE TO MAKE CALLS. WE’LL CHECK BACK IN GOING TO GET MORE OF THESE DEVELOPMENTS. I HAVE A FEELING
