Rajkumar Hirani a part of the esteemed advisory council of The Times of India Film Awards OTT Edition 2023, stated “I feel there is an effort being made to create credible awards shows, and that effort counts. Coming from someone as big as The Times of India, to realize that awards have lost credibility and there’s a need to reinstate that means a lot.”

With a 120 crore production and marketing budget, Dunki made 470.6 crore in global receipts, making it the seventh highest-grossing Indian film of 2023 and the fifth highest-grossing Hindi film of 2023.
