Dragon Boat Races bring culture and competition to Fort Wayne

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE)— Fort Wayne Parks and Recreation is hosting the 8th annual Dragon Boat Races next weekend.

The opening ceremony is Friday, Aug. 2 and the races are Saturday, Aug. 3. Sarah Umbdenstock, program coordinator for Fort Wayne Parks and Rec., stopped by the WANE 15 studio to share how the races work and what spectators can expect. You can see that in the interview above.

The Dragon Boat Races are held at Promenade Park and are free for the public to watch.
