AUBURN — Blues musicians will be front and center this Friday evening when Black Kat Moan performs at the DeKalb Outdoor Theater at 7:30 p.m.
The concert is sponsored by Brown & Brown Insurance and the Italian Grille restaurant.
Black Kat Moan hails from northeast Indiana and plays what the band calls “new vintage blues.” The DeKalb Outdoor Theater prides itself on featuring a wide variety of entertainment every season and having played in and around the Fort Wayne area for the last decade, Black Kat Moan brings a unique style to the stage. While most of the musicians are from surrounding communities, the drummer of the group is Auburn’s Beecher Hines.
Bring a lawn chair or blanket to sit on. Gates open at 6 p.m.
The DeKalb Outdoor Theater is a private organization run by a board of directors and dedicated volunteers. The DeKalb Outdoor Theater is located at 301 S. Center St. in Auburn, adjacent to the DeKalb County Fairgrounds, and has plenty of off-street parking available.
All Friday Night Performance Series events are free admission to the public. Sponsorships and donations help to sustain this activity and are tax deductible through the Community Foundation of DeKalb County. To see the complete schedule, visit dekalboutdoortheater.org.
