Amazon has trained more than 30 million users in cloud technology.
Amazon beat a deadline to provide free cloud computing skills training to 29 million people around the world.
In December 2020, the Amazon Web Services (AWS) hosted cloud division of Amazon committed to investing hundreds of millions of dollars to provide free cloud computing training to 29 million people globally by 2025.
More than a year ahead of schedule, AWS has surpassed this goal, having helped more than 31 million people across 200 countries and territories build cloud skills through its free training initiatives.
According to Amazon, role-based courses such as trainings for cloud practitioner, solutions architect, developer, and data analytics are consistently the most popular cloud skills classes it offers. The e-tailer also offers a selection of game-based learning offerings, such as its “AWS CloudQuest” educational game series.
Amazon continues to invest in providing free and low-cost cloud computing and AI skills training for people of all backgrounds and skill levels, such as through its recently announced “AI Ready” initiative to provide free AI skills training to 2 million people globally by 2025
And in July 2024, the e-tailer launched a program called “AWS SimuLearn,” based on its proprietary Amazon Bedrock generative AI platform, which provides an immersive learning experience that pairs generative AI-powered simulations with hands-on training in solving business problems.
