Four years ago, Hot Topic sold a limited supply of a colorfully-decorated Sailor Moon anime coffee mug. Now, in 2024, the alternative rock retailer is bringing the elusive anime mug back while supplies last.
Currently available for purchase via the Hot Topic website, the “Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Tools Latte Mug” is available at the suggested retail price of $19.90. The anime coffee mug is 12 oz in size and made of ceramic. This imported item is hand-washable only and not suitable for microwaving — so be sure to enjoy your freshly brewed coffee while it’s nice and warm. As noted by the Sailor Moon News account on X (formerly Twitter), the last time this item was available at Hot Topic was four years ago — equal to one Olympic event or North American presidential election.

Iconic Sailor Moon symbols are decorated around the item, such as the variations of Moon Stick weapons used by the titular hero, as well as her Transformation Brooch. In addition to the magical items are small gold stars scattered across the mug. While Hot Topic doesn’t market the Sailor Moon coffee mug as a limited-time item, given the four-year wait to restock, Sailor Moon fans might want to take advantage of the deal while they can.
