Ravyn Lenae has shared a new single, ‘One Wish’, featuring Childish Gambino – listen to it below.
The single was released on Friday (July 26), and comes a week after Donald Glover – aka Childish Gambino – released his final album under the moniker. ‘One Wish’ will be part of Chicago singer-songwriter Lenae’s upcoming sophomore album, ‘Bird’s Eye’.
‘Bird’s Eye’ is due for release on August 9 via Atlantic Records – it is available for pre-orders and pre-saving on digital platforms now.
‘One Wish’ marks the fourth single to come off ‘Bird’s Eye’, following ‘Love Is Blind’, ‘Love Me Not’ and ‘Dream Girl’ featuring Ty Dolla $ign.
Following the release of ‘One Wish’, Glover took to social media to share that he has recorded another track with Lenae that he hopes will be released one day.

It also comes after Glover released the unsettling music video for ‘Lithonia’. ‘Lithonia’ marked the first single from Glover’s final album under the Childish Gambino moniker, ‘Bando Stone and The New World’. The album – released earlier this month – also serves as the official soundtrack for a new movie of the same name. Donald Glover revealed the trailer for the film recently, though the film has yet to receive a release date.
Kyann-Syan Williams wrote of ‘Bando Stone and The New World’ in a four-star review for NME: “Glover has made a record as otherworldly as his other outings. Yet, ‘Bando Stone and The New World’ stumbles slightly – where its sonic variety is exciting, it lacks a clear sense of cohesion or theme compared to his previous work – making it a bittersweet farewell to the legend of Childish Gambino.”
Ahead of the album’s release, Glover explained why he was retiring Childish Gambino, chalking it up to portraying the rapper not being “fulfilling” anymore, and wanted to dedicate more time to his personal life and other avenues after the death of his father and the birth of his children.
