MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – Three Memphis men will serve a combined 66 years in federal prison after being convicted of three carjacking and business robberies.
Jermiah Jone, 24, Kevontae Harper, 22, and James Payne, 21, pled guilty to three counts of carjacking, three counts of business robbery, and brandishing a firearm during a crime of violence.
Harper was sentenced to 25 years of jail in February.
Payne was sentenced to 15 years in prison in March, and Jones was sentenced to 26 years on July 17.
They were convicted of participating in a crime spree in Memphis in spring 2022.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation’s (FBI) Safe Streets Task Force, investigated this case comprised of federal, state, and local law enforcement personnel.
