Each also spun two more sequels after the first film was released, with the third iteration of Deadpool, Deadpool & Wolverine, coming to theaters in a few weeks. There Is Already A Big Fan Theory About Deadpool & Wolverine’s ‘Mind-Blowing’ Post-Credit Scene
There are rumors that the “mind-blowing” post-credit scene in Deadpool & Wolverine involves a former Marvel lead actor.
Boss Logic uploaded an edited version of the fan-favorite Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 poster with Reynolds’ Deadpool and Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine in the mix on Instagram. The poster features Gamora, Star-Lord, Mantis, Drax, Rocket, Nebula, Groot, Cosmo the Spacedog, and Kraglin. The two additions seem to like Rocket, with Deadpool carrying him. “Awww…. Look, he likes you….. Can we keep him?” the caption read. However, should the mutants meet the Guardians, the hotheaded and sarcastic Rocket is unlikely to reciprocate their fondness. But the anticipated meet-up, especially between Deadpool and Rocket, excites fans who wish to see them all on the big screen.
The fan art received a thumbs-up from Marvel fans, with one saying Deadpool, Wolverine, and the Guardians “would make a great collaboration.” Another said that it is “The crossover we need.” Many also expressed how thrilled they were to see Deadpool with Rocket. One Instagram user said he liked the fan art and never realized how much he needed the Deadpool-Rocket team until he saw the poster. A different commenter suggested, “A Deadpool and Rocket moment would be epic.” Another said that Deadpool and Rocket are “a match made in heaven.” One fan also claimed in the comment section that “Ryan Reynolds liked it.”
A Deadpool and Guardians of the Galaxy crossover is likely to happen, especially because Reynolds has already expressed his interest in doing it. In 2018, James Gunn, the director and screenwriter of Guardians of the Galaxy, tweeted that he just watched the Deadpool 2 movie and loved it. Reynolds commented on Gunn’s tweet by suggesting a crossover. “Thank you James! Crossover?” the Deadpool star offered. Several fans share the same excitement about a potential collaboration between Deadpool and Guardians of the Galaxy based on the comments on the crossover fan art.
A collaboration between the two films is no doubt a great match. Deadpool, the foul-mouthed and fourth-wall-breaking antihero, meeting the offbeat members of the Guardians like Rocket, the talking raccoon; Groot, the walking and talking tree; Mantis, the celestial hybrid empath; Star-Lord with his sassy sense of humor; and hilarious Drax with his amusing quotes; is a must-watch. Seeing all of them on the big screen arguing over petty and trivial matters and fighting together against a supervillain is something many will surely pay to watch. However, at present, the only confirmed Guardians of the Galaxy member who will return to the MCU is Pratt’s Star-Lord. It remains unclear when he will be back, and since Deadpool & Wolverine is expected to feature several cameos, it could be the perfect opportunity for Star-Lord’s comeback. Also, there are rumors that Karen Gillian is among those who will return to MCU and reprise her role as Nebula in Avengers 5. If this is true, she could potentially reprise her role in Deadpool & Wolverine.
Deadpool & Wolverine will hit theaters on July 26, 2024.
