Juror Biography:

Artist Josephine Archer earned her M.F.A. Degree in Art from the University of Oregon. She has worked with printmaking and painting media for over 25 years. Her work incorporates different techniques layered on top of one other. Some of her pieces can have more than six layers.

Josephine works on paper, wall canvas, and on walls. The pieces range from 22” x 30” to 10’ x 20’. The layering within Josephine’s work creates an ethereal world behind graphic images composed of animals, figurative forms, and sometimes decorative elements. Josephine’s work has been shown across the nation, including The Bradley International Drawing and Printmaking Biennial; Yorkshire Galleries; and Print Ireland. Her work is also included in the Edgar Bronson Fine Art Collection, and she is a member of Southern Graphics, Non-toxic Printmaking, and College Art Association.
