SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – The vibrant spirit of Puerto Rican Culture will be on full display at the Riverfront Park Sunday evening for the Salsa Sal Pa’Fuera.
The goal of the event is to celebrate health and well-being through music and dance and to honor Salsa music legend, Willie Rosario’s 100th birthday. There will be live music, DJs, food vendors, and refreshments.
Sunday’s event is the opening day of the Salsa Sal Pá Fuera at the Riverfront, and Mayor Domenic Sarno, City Councilor Maria Perez, community leader Waleska Lugo-DeJesus, Salsa Sal Pa’ Fuera founder and chair Peter Delgado (DJ Qremoso) will be at the event.
Festivities will begin at 4 PM, and conclude at 8 PM.
Mayor Sarno states, “Salsa Sal Pa’ Fuera’s Peter Delgado, Waleska Lugo-DeJesús, and team
continue to do an excellent job building this positive community event that reflects the heart and soul of our community and brings all generations together. I look forward to being down at our beautiful Riverfront on Sunday to celebrate this wonderful cultural event. I want to thank our Parks Department team led by Director Tom Ashe, our Police Department led by Superintendent Larry Akers as well as City Councilor Maria Perez and all the partners for their continued collaboration to support this great event series.”
