New virtual health resource center opens for veterans

CABELL COUNTY, WV (WOWK) – The Woody Williams VA Medical Center is working to make sure technology is put to the best use for veterans in the Tri-State.

On Monday, the medical facility opened up its Virtual Health Resource Center. The VHRC provides an in-person and virtual resource that educates veterans on downloading, troubleshooting, and effective utilization of virtual health tools.

“It helps veterans that are homebound, helps the veterans that live far away, that aren’t always able to travel and make their appointments to see their healthcare team. It helps bring these resources to them,” said Andrea Drake, facility telehealth coordinator for the VHRC.

This new facility is the first VA Virtual Health Resource Center in the Tri-State.
