What exactly is the 605 Pop Culture Con presented by Voices Against Cancer all about?
It’s about meeting and greeting some of the biggest stars from the Star Wars, Star Trek, Marvel, Disney universes, and much more. You can get in on an amazing silent auction with all sorts of items from your favorite culture con artists too.
Most importantly the Voices Against Cancer Initiative is about raising funds to continue the fight against childhood cancer and support pediatric cancer awareness and research.
The 605 Pop Culture Con is this weekend, Saturday, July 20, from 10 AM to 7 PM, and Sunday, July 21 from 11 AM to 5 PM at the Sioux Falls Convention Center. It will feature an incredible lineup of talent united in the fight against cancer.
This event brings together iconic voices from across generations, representing diverse genres and beloved franchises. Alongside renowned voice and screen actors, you’ll encounter costumed performers offering photo opportunities, stunning original artwork, and unique silent auction items.
Just a few of the stars who’ll be tooling around Sioux Falls this weekend include George Takei who played the iconic Mr. Sulu in the original Star Trek TV series. Anthony Starr who portrays the evil Homelander in The Boys and Rosario Dawson from Star Wars: Ashoka will also be here, along with football great Lawrence Taylor, Devon Murray from the Harry Potter series and so many more!
Vendors will be on hand with merchandise available for autographs.
Running concurrently, the 18th Annual Sioux Empire St. Baldrick’s Head Shaving Event showcases additional support for children battling cancer.
With a wide array of activities and ways to contribute, this promises to be an unforgettable experience in the fight against cancer.
