HMD Global has unveiled its latest smartphone, the HMD Skyline, featuring a design reminiscent of the Lumia 920. This new device boasts a 6.55-inch display with a high refresh rate of 144Hz. Powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processor, the HMD Skyline comes equipped with a triple camera system, headlined by a 108-megapixel primary sensor. A standout feature is its user-friendly repairability, allowing for easy screen replacement using iFixit’s self-repair tools.
The device is powered by a 4,600mAh battery supporting both wired and wireless charging.

The HMD Skyline is offered in two variants: an 8GB RAM with 128GB storage model priced at EUR 399 (approximately Rs. 36,000), and a higher-end 12GB RAM with 256GB storage version at EUR 499 (about Rs. 45,000). Buyers can choose between Neon Pink and Twisted Black colour options.

Running on Android 14, the HMD Skyline is set to receive operating system updates for two years and security patches for three years. The smartphone features a 6.55-inch pOLED display with full-HD+ resolution (1,080 x 2,400 pixels), a 20:9 aspect ratio, and a peak brightness of 1000 nits. The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The device offers dual SIM functionality, supporting both physical Nano-SIM and eSIM. Storage can be expanded up to 1TB via a microSD card.

Looking ahead, HMD plans to introduce a “Detox Mode” for the Skyline. This feature aims to promote digital wellbeing by limiting notifications and restricting access to social media platforms, helping users manage their screen time more effectively.

For quick top-ups, the device is compatible with 33W wired fast charging. Additionally, it offers the convenience of wireless charging, supporting 15W magnetic charging for those who prefer a cable-free experience. The Skyline also features reverse wireless charging capabilities at 5W, allowing it to serve as a power bank for other compatible devices.
HMD has ensured that the Skyline’s battery is Qi2-certified, adhering to the latest standards in wireless charging technology.
